Being faced with the thought of making your next career move can be both thrilling and daunting.

On the one hand, studying a building and construction course means you’ll be in a position to upskill and move forward in your career faster. In the end, this means a better salary and more fulfilling opportunities for you.

But where do you even start? There are so many courses available, and so many people telling you what to do, that it can be overwhelming to decide what to do and where to study.

Do you need to do a diploma, or a certificate?

Perhaps you’re just starting out and want to hit the ground running with an on-the-job apprenticeship. How do you know which path is right for you?

You also need to consider finances, and run the numbers on which courses are available to you. For most of us, it would be near impossible to access the required funds to take on further education, and so financial assistance is a key element. But how do you access it?

Whether the cost of the course is subsidised off the bat, or you take a course with a loan scheme to pay off later, there are a number of ways to get around that first money hurdle.

Read more about the government subsidised courses available and find your way into education for building and construction careers sooner.
