For those of you who live in Victoria, the Victorian Skills First program is a fantastic opportunity to reach your career goals. 

This government subsidy is available for Australian or New Zealand citizens and permanent residents of Australia only.

This program is designed to help trade professionals upskills, so you can develop your skills in a current trade or start a new one entirely. All that you have to prove is that it is indeed upskilling – that is, a higher qualification than any you presently hold. 

NSW Smart and Skilled 

If you’re living in NSW, the state government’s Smart and Skilled program might be your best option.

This government subsidy covers a broad range of building and construction courses, from carpentry to steelfixing.

Construction Skills Queensland Program (CSQ)

Are you a permanent Queensland resident aged 15 or older with a trade qualification (Certificate III) in the building and construction industry?

If the answer is yes, the CSQ Program could be the option for you. If you’re looking to take the next step in your career, this industry subsidy assists students with both traditional and online courses, so there is no need to live in the city or a regional hub to be eligible. 

Instead, you can take a class from the comfort of your living room, so long as there’s an internet connection.

Even those in remote Queensland can have access to the best education opportunities with financial assistance, thanks to this program.
